Concept

Push

A bet that lands exactly on the spread or total. Stake is refunded.

A push happens when the result lands exactly on the line.

Examples:

  • Spread of -7. Final margin is exactly 7. Push.
  • Total of 47. Final combined score is 47. Push.

Pushes return your stake. They don’t count as a win or a loss on your record (which is why ATS records are “wins-losses-pushes,” e.g. 9-7-1).

Half-point variants (.5 hook) eliminate the possibility of a push.
