Over / Under
Also known as: total, totals
A bet on whether the combined final score will be higher or lower than the posted total. Also called a "total."
The over/under is a totals bet; wagering on whether the combined points/runs/goals will exceed or fall short of the posted number.
Example: Total 47.5 in an NFL game
- Over 47.5 wins on a final score combining for 48+
- Under 47.5 wins on a combined final of 47 or fewer
Driven by pace, weather, injuries, and matchup style. Defensive teams pull totals down; high-pace offenses push them up. Roof open/closed at American Family Field changes MLB totals.
