Off the Board
Also known as: OTB
A game pulled from the betting menu; usually because of an injury, weather, or breaking news the book hasn't priced.
A market that is off the board is temporarily unavailable for betting. Common reasons:
- Late-breaking injury news on a key player (QB out, star pitcher scratched)
- Weather delays in MLB
- A trade that materially changes a team
- Investigations or integrity concerns
The book pulls the market while it re-prices. When it comes back, the new line will usually reflect whatever caused the pause.
You may see “OTB” on a sportsbook screen or “no bet” notation.
